A message from the reader
Hi, I’m Katherine. I’m an Aquarius, a fourth-generation eldest daughter, a kitchen witch, and a lover of all things furry, boozy, and sparkly—not necessarily in that order.
I’m also the reader behind Tarot Over Tea. I believe there’s no shame in asking for help when the waters feel muddy. Sometimes, another perspective can help us make sense of what we’re struggling to see.
How the cards found me
I came to tarot with questions no one else could answer, so I turned them over to the Universe.
The first time I held my first deck, *The Erotic Tarot* by Sofie Birkin, I felt everything fall into place. That feeling became the beginning of a practice I’ve continued to nurture for the past four years, reading for myself and friends.
I learned by doing: studying spreads, practicing daily, listening, and keeping an open mind. My spiritual journey is still unfolding. It’s a winding road, and I walk it with gratitude. I don’t take the answers I receive for granted, and I’m thankful for what Spirit has allowed me to see.
The decks at my table
I work with several decks (sometimes four or five at a time!), many purchased from Etsy shops like mine. Two of my favorites are *The Erotic Tarot* by Sofie Birkin and *Lovely Ladies Tarot* by Brittany Keller.
I choose a deck intuitively, allowing Spirit to guide me toward the one that feels right for the person and questions before me.
Why I read for others
There have been times when I couldn’t make sense of my own situation, and another reader’s kindness helped me find perspective. Those experiences are part of why I wanted to offer readings myself.
Even when we’re used to figuring things out on our own, we can ask for support. Second opinions exist for a reason.
My approach is honest and gentle. When a difficult message comes through, I share it with kindness and make room for questions and clarification. I want you to feel seen, heard, and hopeful—with space to consider what the reading means for you.
And yes, there’s usually tea...
Tea is my comfort beverage of choice. I often have a mug nearby to warm my hands and open my heart while I ponder the cards.
I don’t read tea leaves in my tarot practice. Here, tea is the welcome: something comforting to hold while we make room for an honest conversation.
Whatever brought you here, you don’t need to have it all figured out.
Pull up a chair. Let’s talk tarot.
With warmth,
Katherine
